Creating a book is a process . . .
It begins with a thought—a vague notion or a clear idea—and ends with a fully developed message. In between, the waves of creation flow in and out during long hours of thinking and rethinking, writing and rewriting, adding and deleting, and agonizing over every word until finally . . . it’s done!

But is it really?

Polish Before You Publish
While you may be done writing (and I can hear you thinking, Yes, yes, please please let it be done already! ) the polishing steps of the process are just beginning. By this point, you've read your manuscript so many times that you may no longer be seeing the words as you have actually written them. You may be hearing bits of all the earlier versions in your head rather than the ones you left on the final pages. Not to worry . . . this happens to everyone who writes.

So now it's time for someone else to read your carefully crafted pages—someone who will review and polish every word before your book is sent off for publication and ultimately into the hands or onto the screens of your readers. This may seem a bit daunting, especially if you're new to the process, but don't panic . . . I'm here to help. With more than twenty years of editorial experience, I offer copyediting and proofreading services to help ensure that your manuscript or final proofs are in the best possible form, so you won't have to hope they are, you’ll know they are—and so will your readers.

If you're ready, let's get started!
